Stop Motion Animation of Falling

For my stop motion animation, I used a small tennis ball squeaky toy for puppies. I say for puppies but I too enjoy playing with said ball. Using a tripod and your standard Panasonic Lumix  DMC-ZS10 HD point-and-shoot camera, I created this piece of a ball bouncing. The ball follows a simple path of action and gets itself into trouble.

In actuality, the ball is not bouncing but rather sliding across the floor frame by frame with the camera pointed straight down. I shot each position individually as a photo. I decided to shoot on twos rather than moving and shooting the ball 30 times. So after shooting the frames, I uploaded and duplicated them so that each photo will be shown twice at 24 fps playback speed. I then compiled the photos using Quicktime7 and brought my little bouncing ball to life.
